I also found out that it crashes when compiling even a less complicated map without any new geometry, this time vanilla Tut1.prj2 but with just the extra textures and not the extra WADs. If you want, I could provide my Tomb Editor 1.2 folder as well to see if there's anything in there it doesn't agree with.ĮDIT: I just tried setting it as a DEP exception in case data execution prevention was the cause of the bug, (I don't know if it was or not) but I just found out that Windows won't let me set this one program as a DEP exception for some stupid reason. I've attached a link to a screenshot of the build level dialog to see if anyone can make sense of it.Ĭhanging the paths to other TR4 folders, mostly that of NGLE and Room Editor and switching the engine type from TRNG to TR4 all did not fix it.

Normals will be recalculated now on the fly' warnings that I don't understand, as well as two 'Stray shiny effect found of static 12, face 6 and static 34, face 62, ignoring data' warnings. It only builds up to 15% with a bunch of 'moveable (number) contains a mesh with invalid lighting data. I tried building and testing my demo level so I could see if a quicksand room I'd made for a lava pit worked, but the level does not compile:

My version uses not just the original WAD and textures, but it also has Atlantis WADs from TR1 Revised and Unfinished Business Revised, plus Atlantis TR1 and TR10AE textures (floating islands ones too for flowing lava) for my own part of the model to be more unique. The paths are set up to use the game folder and executable that comes with Tomb Editor.

I've been attempting to follow the tutorial project for the TRLE but using Tomb Editor 1.2 instead of the vanilla Room Editor or NGLE. I tried posting this on the GOG forum first, but it got stuck posting it and it didn't go through for some reason, so I'm trying again here.
